- 50th Anniversary
On Friday 20th June 2014 we celebrated the 50th anniversary of a school on our Box Lane site with a big community festival.
This was a big day in the history of the school and the festival included activities for everyone to enjoy, including zorbing, bubble football, bungee trampolines, climbing wall, live music, an artisan marquee, tombola, food stalls and traditional fairground games. There were also workshops in things like African beading, rocket making, a journalism workshop, gaming through the decades, drama performances, maths games and an exhibition of A Level artwork. There was also a display about the history of the school, with photographs and memories contributed by former staff and students.
We were very fortunate to be joined by VIPs from across the County including both the Lord-Lieutenant and the High Sheriff of Cheshire and Fiona Bruce MP for Congleton, who made speeches and performed various official duties to commemorate the day. Also in attendance were the Mayor of Cheshire East and Congleton Town Mayor.

Memories and photographs
We have created some 'memories pages' which you can access using the links on the left. Why not take a look and see if you remember any of the events referred to? Thank you to all of the people who have contributed memories and brought in photographs for us to share.
If you have any old photographs or other memorabilia from your days at the school or any stories you would like to add, then please contact Mr Hickton with details.
Finally, thank you to our friends at the Gymnasium Süderelbe in Hamburg, Germany for their video message (see below).
