Media

CHS has a thriving Media Club, which is open to Years 7 to 11.  Students who have a keen interest in researching, reporting, filming, recording and editing have the chance to work with experienced technicians and staff and develop their skills using the latest, industry-standard technology.

One of the main projects of the year is taking part in the annual BBC News School Report, but students also work on projects covering events going on at school or investigating news items of interest to them.

Film Club runs weekly screenings and film workshops.  Students are able to publish their reviews online, discuss films, enter competitions and make their own films.  Last year students were involved in a national project called 'See It Make It'. Film Club members took part in workshops with a professional film maker and planned and made a short film which has been entered into a screening competition.
