School Report 2013

BBC News School Report 2013

On BBC News School Report Day 2013, CHS students reported on a range of news items including: the Budget, improvements to the school, Masterchef finalist Jamie, the Olympic legacy, phone addiction, and the horsemeat scandal. From 8am on the day they were incredibly busy scripting, interviewing, filming and editing in order to meet the deadline of 4pm when all the news items needed to be published on our school website.

Media Studies teachers, Mrs Brookes and Miss Eardley, who worked with the students to prepare them for this real-life news day said they were extremely proud of all the students who took part.  Mrs Brookes said "They have all performed way beyond our expectations and have amazed us with their sense of professionalism."  Principal, Mr Hermitt, added "Well done to all our School Reporters. I am once again really impressed by what you have been able to achieve."
