BME Leadership Development Launch a Great Success

In order to encourage and promote diversity amongst leaders in education, in its own numbers and further afield, Congleton High hosted a successful event to launch a Leadership Development Programme for BME colleagues in May, which was well received and attended by a wide range of educational professionals.

Delegates at the launch were able to hear accounts of and advice on achieving leadership roles from the point of view of four inspirational education leaders, who talked about their journey to their current positions and also shared the benefit of their experience and expertise.

School Inspector and Leadership Consultant, Jacqueline Newsome; School Inspector, Consultant Head Teacher and Leadership Coach, Diana Osagie; Retired Head Teacher, Donovan Spencer; and Executive Head Teacher, National Leader of Education and Board Member of the Diocesan Board of Education, Ava Sturridge-Packer, all delivered rousing and motivating presentations to the gathering

Anyone wishing to apply for a place on the Leadership Development Programme should complete the application form* (please click here) and return to cgritton@congletonhigh.com by 3pm Friday 26th May or, for further details, contact Claire Gritton at Congleton High School by  telephone: 01260 730132.

The school, Cmat and Teaching Schools Council would like to thank the four speakers for their tremendous contribution and also all those who attended and supported the event.
