Saying 'Farewell' to our 2016-17 Year Thirteen

The end of Summer Term is always a bittersweet moment in any high school as students who have spent the last seven years as part of the family begin to go their separate ways. It was no different for Congleton High when Miss Blundred held the Year Thirteen Leavers’ assembly as the school broke up for half term at the end of May.

Once again it was an emotional event but also full of good humour and great memories. All the teachers shared their stories of working with the year group and wished them all great success in whatever they choose to do next. Over the following few weeks, the students sat their final exams before enjoying the summer, taking up their university places and training opportunities or starting out on their fledging careers.

Thank you to Miss Blundred and all of the CHS team who took time to share their thoughts and memories of these students. Everyone at Congleton High School wishes all of Year Thirteen the very best of luck for the future and urges them to keep in touch. The school would love to share their stories on the Alumni page on the website to help inspire the Year Thirteens of the future.
