CHS Senior Leadership Team Strengthened

Congleton High is delighted to announce the further strengthening of its Senior Leadership Team with the appointment of two existing Curriculum Team Leaders to the role of Acting Assistant Principal.

Mrs Salt, Head of the school’s PE Department, will have the remit for Teaching and Learning, which she first took on in January, ensuring continuity and efficiency since assuming responsibility from Mrs Bartley, who stepped down from the Senior Leadership Team earlier in the year to take semi-retirement.

Already a familiar face to Year Twelve and Thirteen, Mrs Boulton, Head of the Social Science Department, will work alongside Mrs March, the current Director of Post 16. Mrs March will be taking early retirement at the end of term at which point Mrs Boulton will be responsible for delivering the school’s Post 16 offering.

Mrs March will leave a legacy of an extremely popular and successful Post 16 division, which, during her time at the helm, she managed to grow into the thriving entity our students enjoy now, double the size it was when she first took on the responsibility. She developed and broadened the school's offering for Year Twelve and Thirteen, helping to ensure that students are able to study the courses they want without the need to travel out of the town. Mrs March will be much missed and the students, teaching team and support staff thank her for all her hard work and wish her a very relaxing and enjoyable retirement.

The school would also like to thank Mrs Salt and Mrs Boulton for taking on this new challenge and helping to steer Congleton High School towards even greater success and wish them both well in their new roles.
