Parent/Carer Feedback

If you are dissatisfied with anything in school, please let us know. Most matters are dealt with informally via your child's form tutor.  Simply contact them whenever you have any matter that is causing you concern. If they are unable to deal with the matter themselves, they will know who is the best person to pass it on to.

In general, Guidance Team Leaders will usually deal with discipline matters while Curriculum Team Leaders focus on academic ones. Whatever the reason for your concern, we will act swiftly to deal with it.

We also have a complaints procedure, which can be downloaded from the 'About Us' section of this website (under 'School Policy Documents') and details how we will deal with more formal complaints. Over the last five years it has only be necessary to do this once.

All our staff may be contacted via the Staff Contacts list in the Contact Us section of the website. Clicking on to individuals will enable you to contact them directly, or if you are unsure with whom you need to speak, then please use the general school email enquiry form in Contact Us or telephone the school reception.

Our staff will strive to assist you with any enquiry in a timely manner (max. three working days) and you will be treated with respect and courtesy at all times. The school respectfully requests that you treat our staff in the same polite and courteous manner.

If you wish to contact our Headteacher, Mr Barlow, or our Local Governing Body Chair, Mr Richard Benson, you can do so using the email contact form on the right or by writing to them at Congleton High School, Box Lane, Congleton, CW12 4NS.

Ofsted Parent View logo 200x200-small-squareParents and Carers may be interested to know that you can give your views of our school to Ofsted at any time of the school year and at the time of a school inspection using an online questionnaire called Parent View.

All you need to do is register with an email address and password at Once your login has been activated, it only takes a few minutes to complete answers to 12 short questions about the school, such as how well we deal with bullying, the quality of teaching, whether the level of homework given to your child is appropriate, and whether you would recommend the school to other parents.

We would be extremely grateful if Parents/ Carers could spend a few minutes giving their views to Ofsted.  Your views are important in helping inspectors make a decision about our school.  The survey is also useful for us because it gives valuable information about what you think of the school and helps us to improve.  Please remember, you can give your opinion of CHS through Parent View at any time during the school year, not just at the time of an inspection. Thank you.

If you do not have a computer or an email address or if you would like help to use Parent View, please come into school and ask at reception.
