Transition News for Year 6 Parents and Carers

Year 6 parents and carers will very soon hear from their Local Authority about applications for their child to join the Congleton High School community as the Year 7 Class of 2021.

Despite the Covid pandemic, the CHS team has already put plans in place for a comprehensive induction to our school. The transition process is such an important milestone in every family’s journey and we are determined that the pandemic will not hinder the smooth transition from Year 6 to year 7 for our children.

National Lockdown in March 2020 gave CHS the opportunity to rethink the traditional transition process to ensure that students were still able to access the same transition support and experiences. We have created an effective yet Covid-secure transition programme, which offers all of our new families the support they need to thrive at CHS.

Once parents/carers have received confirmation of a place at CHS, we will begin the transition programme and will contact you with further information in due course. General information can be found on our website and this will be updated very soon for current Year 6 families.

We are all really looking forward to meeting the class of 2021 and welcoming you to the CHS family!
