Year 6 Open Evening 2020

I am delighted to be able to welcome Year Six pupils and their parents and carers to our online Virtual Open Evening. We have so much to share with you about our vibrant and successful school community. Obviously this is no replacement for actually being able to meet with you all, show you around and allow you to experience for yourselves why Congleton High School is such a great place to grow, learn and thrive. However, we hope this will give you all the information you need to make the decision to join us and continue your successful learning journey.

We have tried to structure this page to give you easy access to all the relevant information. If you can't find an answer to any questions you have, Deputy Head, Mrs Darling, oversees our Year 7 Admissions and will be able to help. However, if you have a specific question regarding SEND or a particular subject, these would be better directed to the appropriate team and you can contact them via our Staff Contacts page or by calling the school office on 01260 730123. These pages will stay live so please feel free to come back as many times as you need.

  • You could start your 'virtual tour' with our short videos below that introduce you to the school and our various subject areas. Following these, there are links to useful information regarding our Admissions and Transition process, our Curriculum, Departments and Subjects and our SEND provision.
  • In the menu to the left, you can access our comprehensive Guide to CHS booklet, along with information on bus services, uniform, examples of our break and lunch catering service and homework. We have also included some initial thoughts from our current Year 7 when they first joined us as well as answers to some of the most Frequently Asked Questions.

Please use all these resources, have a look around the rest of our website, view our prospectus, read all the newsletters and speak to any family, friends or neighbours who are currently students or their parents/carers. All this should help you to build a sound understanding of why our students are happy, able to reach their full potential and achieve great success.

Once you have made your decision, please visit your own local authority website to apply for a September 2021 Year 7 place by 31st October 2020. We do hope that you decide to join us and look forward to welcoming you into the Congleton High School community next year.
