Social Sciences (and Business and Law)

The Social Sciences Curriculum Area at CHS is a rapidly growing department. Courses are popular with students, who enjoy their learning experience and generally exceed expectations in examination results.
Subjects offered include vocational courses such as Child Care and Education and Health and Social Care at Key Stage 4 as well as A Levels in Psychology, Sociology and Applied Health and Social Care at Key Stage 5. Students interested in child development and education can study for a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years and Childcare.
The Social Sciences Curriculum Area also incorporates Business and Law. The department organises a wealth of enrichment and extracurricular activities, such as Business visits to Stoke City Football Club and Economics and Law visits to London.
