Heart Screening for CHS Students

Taking our Body Positivity Message to the House of Lords

A Helping Paw
Throughout June and July, the Autism Dogs Charity team - including Anook, the Alaskan Malamute and Henry, the Italian Spinone - are visiting CHS to work with a group of selected students.
Great Pride in our School Community
On Wednesday 29th June, our LGBTQ+ Ambassadors are holding putting the fun in fundraising with their Pride Stall event on behalf of Congleton Pride and Switchboard LGBTQ+ helpline.
A Sports Day First
For the first time ever, along with our traditional Sports Day, we will also be holding an Alternative Sports Day to enable students who are not keen on sports or just like to exercise their brains to compete in their form group teams.
Achieving Success Together
Two of our Year 12 students, Leah F and Rebecca J, put together a 'Mental Health and Exam Stress' assembly to help our KS3 students successfully navigate their end of year exams.
Year 8 Students Earn Respect
We were very proud to watch the Mayor of Congleton present our eight Year 8 students with their Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Respect Course graduation certificates in April.
Week Three of Year 8's Respect Course
Our Year 8 students are in the third week of the Fire Service Respect Course and their skills and confidence continue to grow.
Healthy Relationships
Our focus for Children’s Mental Health Week in February was ‘Healthy Relationships’ and we used this theme throughout assemblies and our STOP Morning that week.

We were delighted to welcome Alex Staniforth in to school in January to speak with our students in Years 8, 9, 10 and 11 about overcoming adversity and how they can recognise and draw on their own own self-reliance and bounce-back ability.
