We are delighted that you are considering Congleton High School for your child’s next step in education. Most students join CHS in Year 7 but we welcome children at any stage of their academic career, from Year 7 to 11 and also into our Sixth Form provision at Year 12 or 13.

We are a non-selective Academy School and, as such, we welcome applications from all students, regardless of background, academic ability, aptitude, gender or religion. We have an admissions number of 200 in each year group, together with 50 places for external candidates wishing to join our Sixth Form provision. 

We welcome prospective students and their parents/ carers to come and view the school, meet our staff and students and see first-hand what a vibrant and exciting place Congleton High School is. The dates of our next Open Evenings are as follows:

    Our Sixth Form Open Evenings are usually held in October each year.

The deadline for applications for a September 2024 Year 7 place at CHS is Tuesday 31st October 2023. All applications should go via your own Local Authority. Please go to the Transfer from Primary School pages in this Admissions section for links to the Local Authority sites.
