Two Bronze Medals for Haydyn

We were all delighted to hear the great news in May that Year 12 student, Haydyn CB, had scooped two Bronze medals for canoeing in the K1 500m and K1 200m classes at the Brandenburg International Regatta in Germany.

Haydyn joined the British Canoeing Team of sixteen junior and U23 athletes to compete at the Brandenburg International Junior Cup in the Regatta. The team took on three days of racing between 13-15 May, kicking off with 500m on the Friday, before concluding with the 1000m action on Sunday. 

Britain’s team looked incredibly strong across the events as they gained valuable international race experience over the weekend, coming up against a number of strong German clubs as well as some additional international teams. As with all the team members, months of training extremely hard earned Haydyn this amazing achievement!
