Yet more outstanding UK Mathematics Trust Maths success for our Year 11 student, Elitsa R, who achieved a perfect 50 out of 50 in the recent Maths Olympiad for Girls, earning her a distinction award, book prize and an invitation to take part in Round One of the British Maths Olympiad in November.

Our Maths teacher, Mr Wright, is understandably exceptionally pleased and proud of Elitsa's remarkable progress in the challenge:
"This is a truly staggering achievement. To put this into context, during my nearly 15-year career I have never known a student from CHS or any others that I have been associated with that has qualified for this stage of the challenge. We have been lucky enough to teach some exceptionally gifted mathematicians at CHS over recent years but none of them can hold a candle to this achievement."

Congratulations, Elitsa, we look forward to hearing more great news from the next stage of the challenge in November.
