Scientists Inspire Year 9 Students
To round off British Science Week 2022 at CHS, we welcomed a group of speakers from the world of Science in to school in March to inform and inspire our Year 9 students about the many careers opened up by studying Science.
Positive New Roles in XL
During our Social and Emotional interventions in the Spring Term, students have created three new XL Student Leader roles to help promote positive behaviour, focusing on compassion for others, respect and kindness.
CHS Careers Fair Success
In March, we held our biggest ever Careers Fair, with over forty exhibiting employers, training and apprenticeship providers and educators arriving on the day to help our young people start to plan their futures.

Week Three of Year 8's Respect Course
Our Year 8 students are in the third week of the Fire Service Respect Course and their skills and confidence continue to grow.

Our Reading Influencers group held their first meeting in March and have set up their own Instagram account so everyone can keep up to date with all their activity.
Exhibitors Announced for CHS Careers Fair
Over 40 training/education providers and employers from a wide range of sectors will be taking part in the CHS Careers Fair on Thursday 17th March, helping our students to plan their future careers.
Year 8 Take on the Faraday Challenge
Thirty six of our Year 8 students took part in a cross-curricular Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Faraday Challenge Day in March, organised by our Science and DT departments.
Well Versed
We were extremely proud that our Year 13 student, Lily S, represented us at the official unveiling of the Elizabeth Wolstenholme Elmy statue on International Women’s Day, reciting her original poem, CW12 2DW.
Week Two for our Respect Course Students
Tuesday 8th March was Week Two for our eight Year 8 students on the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Respect course and this week, the group saw firefighters rescue a 'casualty' trapped in a car.
