What The Future May Hold

In January, we were delighted to welcome Higher Horizons+, Macclesfield College and Staffordshire University, in to school to join us for an extended assembly to inform our Year 9 students about some of the Post 16 and Post 18 pathways available to them.

Following the presentations, Higher Horizons worked with a group of Year 9s throughout the morning. The students took part in an interactive session to design their 'perfect university'.

During the afternoon, a group of Year 12 and Year 13 students also worked with the Higher Horizons team in a range of sessions, which included designing their 'ideal course.

We recognise that every student is different and each has their own further/higher education, training and career aspirations. Because of this, we greatly value opportunities such as these as they support our aim to give every student the information they need to make the choice that's exactly right for them.
