The Christmas CHS Staff movie has become something of a tradition now at CHS, with teachers and the support team all showcasing their entertainment talents through a variety of different themes over the years. Christmas 2022 certainly didn't disappoint, and on the last day of the Autumn term, students were treated to our very own version of Strictly Come Dancing. Hosted by Claudia ‘Grace K’ Winkleman and Tess ‘Mrs Mackreth’ Daly, six teams competed for the coveted title and CHS Strictly Glitterball trophy.

Students enjoyed the very highest standards of modern and traditional 'dance' from our acting headteacher, Mr Warren, and his English teacher partner, Miss Mahmoud; our departing Headteacher, Mr Barlow, and Performing Arts team partner, Miss McAleavy; Mr Thomas, accompanied by his Science faculty colleague, Mrs Finch; fan favourite, Mr Holt, joining fellow Maths teacher, Miss Fernihough; acting Deputy Headteacher, Miss Salt and her PE team partner, Mr Ainsley; and last, but very definitely not least, from the Maths faculty, Miss Drinkwater, ably leading her Assistant Headteacher partner, Mr Tyrrell. All six teams danced wonderfully and there was very little to choose between them, making the judges' job extremely difficult. In the end it came down to the audience vote with the top three consisting of Mr Thomas and Mrs Finch, Mr Holt and Miss Fernihough and Mr Barlow and Miss McAleavy. Click here to watch the results. No spoilers, but Mr Holt was robbed!

A massive well done and thank you to everyone involved.
