Year 12 Emma, Jamie and Harley Compete in Youth Speaks Final

Well done to three of our Year 12 students, Jamie C, Harley F and Emma L, who, as best runners up in the heats, took part in the District Final of the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition at The Macclesfield Academy on Sunday 3rd March along with Knutsford Academy, Tytherington School and The Fallibroome Academy.

The standard was very high, with speeches ranging from 'Capitalism has no future' through to 'Misogyny in medicine'. The CHS team's speech on 'Demystifying Technology' was well received but narrowly missed out on reaching the next round.

Much time was invested in researching and preparing for this event and it was widely commented that the group's performance had improved vastly from the previous round. We are immensely proud of their achievements and of all their hard work and dedication.
